Racha

Racha: the Oni and Ambrolauri municipalities, 36 villages in all, Khvanchkara among them. The wine is a dry red, from light to dark crimson, made from Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli; Kabistoni, Dzelshavi and Saperavi are allowed up to 15% in total. The same two grapes give the naturally semi-sweet Khvanchkara — Racha is their dry counterpart.
