Wine regions
Every wine region of the country on one map, with the number of catalogue wines behind each — including regions where we hold almost nothing yet. Open a region for its vineyards, its appellations and its wines.

The map
Pick a region, and the panel follows.
Colour shows how many of the catalogue's wines come from each region; the region in the panel is outlined. Outlines: geoBoundaries ADM1, CC BY 4.0, drawn on the page itself — nothing loads from a third party.

Wine counts come from our catalogue. Hectares come from the National Wine Agency's 2025 vineyard cadastre — a different source that counts vineyards, not wines, so the two need not move together.
The regions
All 9 regions, by wines in the catalogue.
One line per region: how many of the catalogue's wines come from it and, where an official source publishes it, its vineyard area. A region with no wines stays on the list.

The wine and appellation columns are counted off our catalogue. The hectare column is the National Wine Agency's vineyard cadastre: it counts every vineyard plot on record, bottled or not. A region with no wines stays listed — a gap we can name is worth more than a map that quietly leaves it out.
How this page is built
Administrative units, grouped more coarsely than the cadastre.
What a region covers
Kartli includes Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Tbilisi, Samegrelo includes Zemo Svaneti, and Racha-Lechkhumi includes Kvemo Svaneti. The cadastre splits the country into finer municipalities; each region page lists its own.
Catalogue counts
Wines and appellations are counted off the catalogue's published records. Nothing in those columns is estimated.
The hectare column
Vineyard cadastre 2025 of the National Wine Agency, published on NSDI: hectares, plots, varieties and planting years for every vineyard on record.
Plot outlines
The cadastre publishes figures, not plot geometry, so the vineyard map draws plots from OpenStreetMap instead. Open the vineyard map
