Competition for qvevri wines run in Tbilisi by the Georgian Wine Association, a producers' body, with support from the National Wine Agency; first held in 2017. In 2018, 200 wines from 70 companies were judged by a panel of five that included Lisa Granik MW, and over 40% of entries won a medal. The rules — whether the tasting is blind, the scale, the entry fee — are not published, so no weight is assigned.
