About the variety

Aligoté is a white Burgundian variety and a sibling of Chardonnay: VIVC gives both the same parents, Pinot and Gouais Blanc. Georgian regulations recommend it for Outer Kakheti, Shida Kartli, Meskheti, Upper Imereti and Adjara, and the sparkling Atenuri PDO may include it alongside Chinuri.
