Appellations on the map

Appellation borders are not published as open data: for most zones the dot marks the village or locality the name comes from, and its size shows how many wines of the zone are in the catalogue. Khvanchkara is the exception — its outline is traced from the Georgian Wine Club regional map (“Georgian Wine Infographics”), georeferenced on fourteen villages and accurate to about a kilometre. The sand colour is Racha's viticultural district from the same map; the pale backdrop shows the winegrowing zones traced from the National Wine Agency map.
